About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Registered or Clinical Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team, conducting evidence based neurodevelopmental assessments via telehealth for adults aged 25 and over in accordance with AHPRA, Medicare, and NDIS requirements.These comprehensive assessments aim to help adults understand their individual profiles and support their access to relevant services.
This role offers flexibility and autonomy while being part of a supportive and collaborative clinical team of psychologists, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of neurodevelopmental conditions, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to deliver high-quality assessments and feedback sessions remotely. MUST be located in Australia only.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for ASD and ADHD using standardised tools.
- Deliver assessments, interviews, and feedback sessions via secure telehealth platforms.
- Review background information and collateral reports from parents, teachers, or other professionals.
- Prepare detailed diagnostic reports consistent with DSM-5-TR criteria and Australian best practice guidelines.
- Liaise with referrers, GPs, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate clinical records in line with AHPRA and privacy legislation.
- Provide psychoeducation and practical recommendations for clients, families, and support coordinators.
- Stay up to date with current evidence and practices in neurodevelopmental and telehealth assessment.
Qualifications and Registration Requirements
- Full registration as a Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist with AHPRA.
- Eligible for Medicare provider number
- Experience conducting ASD and/or ADHD assessments across lifespan populations.
- Understanding of NDIS and telehealth service delivery standards.
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (WWCC) for the state(s) of practice.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience assessing or working with adults, including neurodevelopmental, cognitive, academic, functional and adaptive behaviour and psychosocial assessments.
- Experience delivering assessments remotely via telehealth, using secure platforms to provide comprehensive evaluations while maintaining high-quality client care.
- Practice in a neurodiversity-affirming way, using inclusive language, recognising individual differences, and respecting clients’ strengths and identities.
- Experience preparing reports for disability service applications preferred.
- High standard of professional writing and clinical reasoning skills.
- Access to appropriate assessment tools or willingness to utilise clinic-provided measures.
